STONEFIELD RECORDING NEW ALBUM
Feb 9, 2015

Four piece Aussie rock band Stonefield have been writing. A lot.
Spending weeks on end in their farm studio with Kram (Spiderbait), they’ve already written 25 new songs for their forthcoming album. The girls, from the Macedon Ranges in regional Victoria, plan to record the album and release it by mid-2015.
It will follow a busy 2014, which saw Stonefield play countless shows and festivals around the country. These included Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC), Caloundra Music Festival (QLD), Mitchell Creek Rock N’ Blues Fest (QLD), One Way Street Party (QLD) and Dot To Dot (UK).
The band was also nominated for Best Regional Act at the annual Age Music Victoria Awards in November.
With more writing, recording and touring to come, the four Findlay sisters will get to continue their very own rock’n’roll story.
MS MURPHY RELEASES ‘STRIDE’ EP + SOULFEST DATES
Sep 22, 2014

Australia’s most mesmerizing soul songstress Ms Murphy has announced that her new EP ‘Stride’ will be released on October 17th. The first single from the EP, ‘Don’t Let It Go’ is also set for release the same day.
Ms Murphy returned to the studio in mid-2014 to begin work on ‘Stride’, partnering with ARIA award-winning producer Jan Skubizsewski (Cat Empire, Phrase, ILLY). “These new tracks are hopeful and speak of overcoming times in my life when I have been tried and tested,” Ms Murphy explains. “The lyrics revolve around loss, which I’ve learnt leads us to find out how strong we actually are. Life experiences that are isolating are the very thing that connect us all.”
First honing her musical skills in church before blowing away the Australian public on The Voice in 2013, Ms Murphy – stage name of Karen Andrews – has quickly become the defining voice of soul music in Australia. Her unique vocals tell stories of heartache, honesty and uncompromising conviction, and effortlessly leave an impression on listeners.
After making it through to the Top 8 on The Voice, Ms Murphy toured nationally; both solo as well as on tour with her coach Ricky Martin. Ms Murphy also began recording her debut EP, ‘White Dress & the Spirit’ with prominent Australian producer Lance Ferguson (The Bamboos), which quickly moved into the Top 10 iTunes albums chart, thanks in part to the hand-clapping, upbeat, brass heavy rhythms of lead single, ‘Ritual Union’. The release was supported by the sell-out White Dress & the Spirit Tour, played inside iconic venues in NSW and Victoria, such as The Basement and The Toff In Town in the early part of 2014.
With the imminent release of ‘Stride’, audiences are set to experience more from the dynamic performer on tour throughout late 2014. Dates include Australia’s first ever SoulFest, alongside Grammy award winning neo soul, jazz and hip hop icons Maxwell, D’Angelo and Common. The Love Tribe, as Ms Murphy’s fans are affectionately known, is set to expand, as she delivers her world-class soulful style alongside her contemporaries, making her mark and taking it all in her stride, as only she can.
